Day 1: Arrival Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnels – Hanoi (B, L)
Breakfast, you will start to visit the largest Vietnamese city. There are street markets, sidewalk cafes and sleek new bars. This teeming metropolis offers 300 years of timeless traditions and the beauty of an ancient culture. To the west of the city is the huge Chinese neighborhood called Cho lon, which means “Big Market.” Notre Dame Cathedral, in the heart of Saigon’s government quarter, is of neo- Romanesque architecture with two high square tower and iron spires. The Central Post Office is French-style and City Hall, known as “Hotel de Ville,” is typical of the French architecture that would be seen in any village in France. Visit the War Remnants Museum, featuring collections of weapons and photographs from the two Indochina wars. Leave Saigon for Cu Chi Tunnels to learn about Vietnam history & Vietnam War. After Cu Chi Tunnels you will take flight to Hanoi by Vietnam Airlines. Arrive Hanoi in the evening. Transfer to hotel for check in. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta tour (B,L)
A smooth one and half hour bus ride passing the green rice fields, lead you to the beautiful rural My Tho city. The morning trip continues on the motorized boat on the Tien river to the Qui (Tortoise islet). On the way, you will view the fishing port, stilt houses, boat building workshops, the other Dragon, Phoenix and Unicorn islet. The cruise will lead you through Bao Dinh canal to enter Ben Tre province, “the country of coconut”, to see a typical agricultural model call “Garden – Pond – Cage” then enjoy coconut candy mill and the relaxing honey tea. Then the amazing rowing boat trip on the small canal – fully covered by the shadow of the water coconut’s tree and cool breezes is something you can not miss. Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden.
After lunch, you will walk along the village, visit fruit garden, enjoy the tropical fruit while you are listening to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music” performed by the islanders. Here we also can join the daily activities of the local people and enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside.
Your expectations will be fulfilled by final boat trip back to My Tho on the Tan Thach natural canal. On the way back to HCMC, you will stop at a Bonsai garden where you can take a rest for 15 minutes.
Day 4: Ho Chi Minh – Danang – Hoi An (B,L)
Breakfast, free until transfer to airport for short flight to Danang, central city of Vietnam. Upon arrival, transfer to Cham museum to visit the carvings before transfer to Hoi An.
Lunch at local restaurant – Discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Its sizeable community of foreign merchants resulted in a unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An – Hue (B,L,D)
Am: Have breakfast at your hotel then you will leave Hoi An for Hue, on the road via sightseeing Marble mountains to discover caves and pagoda in Five mountains, Cham Museum in Da Nang where displays the whole culture and collections of Cham people in Vietnam. Next is stopover at Hai Van Pass to enjoy the fresh air and have the whole panorama of Lang Co Beach as well as Cau Hai lagoon from the summit of this pass. You will have a chance to get the fanciful feeling as coming to the heaven in occasion of a cloudy day with the clouds cover around the Pass. When you arrive at Lang Co beach, you have free time to get the refreshment in one of the beautiful beach of central Viet Nam. Lang Co beach is recognized as one of the most beautiful beach bay in Asia. Arrive at Hue city at noon. Check into hotel. Have lunch at a restaurant.
Pm: This afternoon you make a city tour around Hue on cyclo to explore the green city with numerous of historic sites and landscapes. Cyclo or also called” Xich Lo” is also a unique cultural character of Hue people. The cyclo driver will ride you pass through streets under the tree shades and flowers bloom in summer to get the deeply of Hue beauties. At firsts, you will visit Forbidden City including King’s Palace, the Theatre, Nine Dynasty Urn, Five Phoenix Tower… You will have chance to enjoy Royal music in the Theater of The Forbidden Purple City to learn more of traditional music and Royal life and then go around Dong Ba market to enjoy the purchase of local people here. Maybe you can buy some souvenirs gifts in the market. Dong Ba is the busiest purchasing centre and the most famous market of Hue, so you can find all kinds of products supply for people have here. You are free to have dinner at a restaurant with traditional foods of Hue people. In the evening, you will enjoy Hue traditional songs – Hue folksong on Perfume River. Overnight in Hue.
Am: Have breakfast at your hotel. Our guide take you for a walk to boat station go to Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas of Viet Nam, built depending on an interesting story. The boat called Dragon boat is the best way for you to enjoy the landscape along two banks of Perfume River passing under the famous construction Truong Tien Bridge, or Van Lau bank… The tranquility and pureness of this peaceful river are compared with the character of Hue’s people and the name “Perfume” brings the meaning and trait of the river. Then you take time to visit the Mausoleums of Nguyen’s Kings including Minh Mang Tomb, Tu Duc tomb to learn about two famous Kings of Nguyen Dynasty. Then the driver will ride you to visit Tu Hieu Pagoda to get more knowledge of the complex of Hue pagodas because Hue is also known as centre of Buddhism with the densely amount of pagodas. Have lunch at a restaurant.
Pm: This afternoon you visit traditional handicraft villages including incense stick making village, conical hat-making village to learn about handicraft villages in Hue. A souvenir gift for friends or relatives you should buy for memory. For those who love Hue, you can make tailor an Ao Dai traditional dress. It is not only the tradition of the country but also it is the specialty of Hue because there is nowhere in country Hue girl and woman wear Ao Dai is the most charming. Free to have your own dinner. Overnight in Hue.
Day 7: Hue – Hanoi (B,L)
Breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Hanoi. Take a short flight to Hanoi – capital city of Vietnam. Pick up and have lunch before transferring to visit, Museum of Ethnology, Hanoi’s Hilton (Hoa Lo prison) and if time allowed, Temple of Literature and Quoc Tu Giam -Vietnam’s first university constructed in 1070. Coming to the Old Quarter to check in hotel.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 8: Hanoi – Halong (B, L, D)
Am: Be picked up at your hotel from 8h00 for 3.5 hour bus ride through the country side of the Red River Delta to Ha Long City. Upon arrival, aboard Halong Phoenix Cruiser, fresh seafood lunch (vegetable menu available) would be served while the boat is gliding out.
Pm: A short tender ride from the middle of the bay to an island for the famous Sung Sot Cave, followed by visiting Ti Top island, relax on its beach or walk up to the top for the panoramic view of the anchorage area. As the sun sets over the bay, just relax on sundeck with your favorite drink. Dinner is served with typically local seafood. Overnight on board
Day 9: Halong Bay Cruise – Hanoi. (B, L)
Am: Rise up for a breathtaking on sundeck then be ready with fun kayaking around the area for a stunning vista in the serene bay. Back to boat, you learn recipes and techniques that go into the most popular dish of the Vietnamese food just before lunch time. Lunch would be served when cruising back to the harbor.
Pm: Our bus is waiting on the harbor to take you back to Hanoi. Trip ends at your hotel around 17h00.
Day 10: Hanoi Departure. (B)
You have the morning free to relax before your flight home.
Our guide and driver will come and pick you up to transfer to airport.
